Great thread, the more i look at this the more i want to keep my 03 rays. The only reason i would want to change it is cuz i want wider wheels.

^^^ Pretty much what I've been thinking. Those OEM Touring 17s are just too narrow.

Well instead of saving up for some volks i think im gonna keep my wheels. I already put in 25mm/30mm spacers on and it looks GREAT lol. With the money i save i can get the front end repainted and get all the damn door dings out. Great thread!

YES, i think the oem 17s are ugly, but they look even worse when seen from behind the car. It's sooo narrow, kinda like bicycle wheels lol. Even the 03 oem rays look narrow to me, i guess ima go with 235/40 front, 265/35 rear for my next tires to make it look wider than it is. Some of the 17s ive seen on here look pretty good tho.

Here's my current project, they'll get done one day...rattled. Debating on whether to sand down the RAYS/FORGED lettering and polish it...thoughts?

heavier coats should make it gloss better. just don't overdo it to where it runs.

Will do.

How they are pictured is actually the look I'm trying to achieve. Never been a fan of glossy black wheels, but to each his own I suppose. It's a black metallic color which helps to give it depth, but still keeps it satin.
