Is this Duplicolor flat black with smoke metalcast (or ground coat medalcast)?

For the people who did the DIY Paint your own wheels I have a question. If you were to scratch your rims, would you redo the whole process of sanding, painting, clearcoat then finished? Would it turn out the same?

ehh...i'm pretty sure you'd do the same process only in the damaged area, with it being taped off...then take the tape off for the clear coat

it's gloss black and i didn't use metalcast on the rims, just the center caps. you don't use a primer. it's just the black paint, and then i added a few coats of clear. everyone asks if it's flat. i think that's just because the rims were really dusty in those pics.

I see somebody using caliper paint for the lip. How do you get them so straight?

It sounds stupid already, I know. Sorry.

Default just bought these

Just got these on ebay for 900 bucks including shipping.

18x8 and 18x 8.5 I think these are the track rims.

The stock tire size I think is 225//45/18 and 245/45/18. Can anyone confirm?

Yes, that is the stock tire size. However, those are 2005 anniversary or 2006+ oem's - not track rims.

Interesting paint job (are they powdercoated?), I'll reserve judgment until I see them on your car.
