What brand calipers covers does the formula car have? I hear Stoptech caliper covers perform great.

Congrats on the fake caliper covers, you are now rewarded with zero credibility from here on out.

it has these, and no they dont have covers, but the Z has had no ill effects from the covers. we have learned just enough to be dangerous racing over the years including our step up to a winged car this year. i assure you the street Z is just for cosmetic appeal and not ment to offend any of the "purists" here.
Cheers

It's not about being pure. It's just gay. No offense. That's cool about the formula stuff.

none taken Nismo. I have learned that even at the club level that we race marginal components dont last and can hurt you, but for the Z we were simply "customizing" it from a purely cosmetic "cool look" point of view, and will continue to do so and document our progress here.
Cheers

This works much better than the gold I had before. I know it's not for everybody but I like it.

Something looks off on that Nismo front bumper? Is it a rep?

Yeah, duplicolor bronze wheel paint. I had to order it, couldn't find any stores carrying anything other than gunmetal or silver/black.

I couldn't justify the money to powdercoat this set, I was so disappointed by the poor quality job I got back last time with another set of wheels, I figured I would spend the $25 on paint and do them in my downtime at work. I had extra wheels to put on the car in the mean-time and I needed to switch back to my real tires so the tires on them had to come off. Perks of working in a shop I guess.

Definitely the original one, maybe it's the angle?

Yea I hear ya, my wheels are scuffed up pretty bad so I plan to get them repaired and figured I might as well have them powdercoated for a bit more.

Yeah, it may be that I'm so low I'm use to seeing it close to the ground.

Yeah I would have spent the money, but it's hard to get a quality job done locally from personal experience, most shops rush through it and turn out sub-par work, and for $200+ I can't accept that.

Lol, stock height since day one and the bumper is still all scraped up. Roads suck way too much here for me to lower, though it would look awesome.

Perfect example of how powder coating can screw up a wheel and make it fragile if not done right. The extreme temps needed to melt the powder is hot enough to make a forged wheel brittle, imagine what it does to cheaper cast wheels.

Eeee...I plan to get the scuffs and such repaired by a reputable shop, but maybe I won't PC them and just spray them myself after the repairs...depends on how well they blend in the repairs with the oem finish
