Exclamation This stinks! Hairline Scratches on my VOLKS (lip)

Hey guys,

Left my Volk SF Challenges on this winter (mistake) I hadn't cleaned them in about a month. I guess when i cleaned them peices of dirt & salt got onto the sponge and made all this small little hairlines scratches on the lip.

I have EagleOne neverdull aluminum polish, but it didn't help!

Any other idea's or products i should try?

Here they are before this winter...

HELP! thanks
-Peter

Maybe you should try posting a pic. As for the scratches on the lip, you are basically SOL, since the lips are anodized, the only way to fix it is the take apart the wheels and have the anodizing stripped, and having the lips repolished. From there you can leave them bare and polish them with metal polish every few weeks, or have them clearcoated, which may diminish the shine slightly. Most shops won't anodize them again so you'll never be able to get them back to original condition

you know nothing will be perfect forever , i'd just clean them and leave them alone , you won't even notice from 3 4 feet away, anyways good luck .

If your volks are currently clear coated polish will not help. What you may be seeing is scratches in the clearcoat.

Laziness is a ***** ain't it? I wouldn't even consider driving around with my Volks this time of the year.

Nice camera though!

+1 on the sponge. on another note, that pic makes those volks look purty.
