Might be a stupid question but I'm new haha. Is it possible to put different wheels and tires like most people out there with a Z.. and keep your tire pressure monitoring system? Is this an easy install? Thanks!
Welcome to the forums. Please make an effort to post in the right section, it just helps to keep things organized. Thanks.
As to your question, it is possible. The difficulty depends largely on which wheel you pick and whether it will accept the sensors natively or will require an aftermarket hub-band. The sensor is integrated into the valve stem, and some wheels are designed in a way that the sensor/stem will mount properly and some dont. If you pick a wheel that won't accomodate the sensor with no modification, you may have to fabricate a metal band to mount the sensor to the barrel of the wheel. Run a few searches here and you'll probably come up with some decent pictures of the solutions people have used.
