Default SSR Type-Fs !

After a long wait I finally got in my Type-Fs.

I am a littler concerned about the front. It looks like the wheel/tire is poking out almost a 1/2 inch from the top of the fender. I havn't driven it yet but I'm assuming the fronts poking out this much will rub. My guess is I'll need around -2 degrees of camber in the front to make this work. Thoughts?

I know there are some guys in here running the 10.5 +15 up front. A 9.5 +12 wheel should sit about 10mm deeper in the wheel well then the 10.5 +15. So maybe I shouldn't be concerned at all.

I have KW v2's and SPL front and rear arms waiting to get installed too!

Specs:
18x9.5 +12 265/35
18x10.5 +15 285/35

Attached pic is obviously at stock height.

Once you get your coilovers and camber parts installed you will probably be fine. How low you go will determine how much camber you'll need to not rub. Those are some beefy tires so you may not be able to slam it. However, because of how beefy they are it doesn't look like you're trying to be "low n slow".

Hey Mike...you'll be just fine after you lower the car and add a little camber. I have a 10.5 front at +15 and i'm running -2.7 degrees of camber

Ground isn't leveled, so front looks way lower and back looks way higher!

A bit too low to drive anywhere, but I like it! Going to raise it a tad in the front.

Please don't quote photos strings in posts, just quote the post itself.

Your question to me was already answered in the above post that you quoted regarding sizing.

Rubicant will chime in regarding his fenders, I believe they were only rolled flat and not pulled but he will be able to confirm.

rubicant is running 10.5 +15 on 285s all around and he's golden. His car isn't slammed like it used to be though.

The only fender work done is in the rear; rolled and a tiny pull, but as DVO said, it was lower before. Also, I was running Work VS-XX 19x11 +0 in the rear, so that's why it was slightly pulled. You will probably just need a regular roll in the back.

The front rubs the fender liner, but that's about it.

Do you plan to run any camber at all? I am at -2.5 all around. Going to decrease it in the rear to -1.5 soon.

i've run 20x11 with a -11 rear offset before with only a roll and NO pull..tires were stretched on 265/30's...no rubbing issues
