I'm kinda sad b/c of the black/red combo since i paid out the ears for mine, but the black/blue ones are cool.

These wheels are still real rays wheels...they are just repainted. I just can't understand what is wrong with that.

I cant understand how they can be legitimate wheels if they were not purchased through the proper channels? Its not like Gruppe S is going directly through rays japan, theyre going though other rays re-sellers in Japan and just having them shipped over here. The wheels may not be illegal, but theyre definitely not legit and is an un-authorized transaction. Plus, I wouldnt pay MORE for a fake "time attack" wheel that isnt made by rays. Just to let you guys know, the true time attacks did not have any kind of mark up compared to a special color TE or CE. If youve gotten quotes or have purchased time attacks from authorized vendors, the price of a authentic time attack wheel would be no more expensive than a special colored TE or CE.

if you said these wheels are fully warranty by Rays then do the wheels have a warranty card? Also I talk to a Rays Rep @ SEMA last year and they told me if I repaint the wheels then I would loose warranty and if I don't have the warranty card or proof of purchase from a Auth. Dealer then I will not be cover under their warranty.

It's pretty amusing to see how many vendors and employees of Mackin are in here pretending to be "consumers".
Anyways, it boils down to this:
1. The wheels we sell are manufactured by Rays Engineering Japan
2. The wheels are legally purchased and legally imported from Japan
3. The consumer stands to benefit on parallel imported products. If you have a problem with it, you probably shouldn't shop at Costco, Kmart, Walmart, Fry's, the list goes on...
4. If you want to save money on Rays wheels give us a call.
5. It's true - you can order the "Time Attack" color through US channels (and wait 120-180 days)
6. Warranty is a non-issue. Volk wheels don't break. If on the off chance they were manufactured with a defect (unlikely -it's Rays) we'll fix the problem (ie get you a new wheel).
7. We wouldn't even be talking about this if the vendors and Mackin's own employees didn't jump on this thread and make a big fuss over a color scheme and wheels that don't even fit the 350Z. Thanks for the free advertising guys - now everyone knows we sell wheels cheaper than the rest.
Cheers,
Gary

Actually...not true. They don't make them any more...discontinued. SUCKAHS...you have to make your own now if you want them to be new. Unless someone has a new set on the shelf somewhere. <---Which they definately won't have for long.
Read up a little in this thread about "Grey Market Goods"

Yeah guys, they are ordering whatever wheels you want...but then sending them out to have them painted whatever color you wish. You can get any color combo you can think of...as long as you trust that they will paint it the shade that you have in mind. And they are standing behind the finish...which is awesome. Basically it's like buying some silver rays and then taking them down the street to the wheel shop and having them paint it a diff color.
ok sound interesting...
1. So any Rays wheels I get from you will be grey market in?
2. Will Gruppe S cover warranty or Rays?
3. How long will it take if I order a set of TE in Takata Green?
4. Will you paint the wheels or are the wheels coming from Rays Green?
5. How much cheaper would i be saving if I order from you?
This is for TE37 19" aggressive size in Green
just want to know before I buy.
