The last owner was a drug dealer.
The last owner of my car was clearly a drug dealer. He left me with these lovely 20 inch chrome wheels:
I'm just waiting to find his stash in one of the speakers or in the spare.
Anyhow, I'm not going to get rid of the rims because, well, they're about $5,500 with tires and nobody is going to pay me that much for them.
So, what can I do to improve them?
I was thinking of doing a black (probably gloss) lip with matte red rivets and a white line on the outside part of the lip (old-school style). But maybe there is something else I can do without a) completely destroying the rims, and b) looking like a jackass...

i dont think there is alot you can do with that particular rim. yeah i agree getting rid of the chrome would be the only real option you have but the overall design just isnt made for a car like the Z.
if it were me i would take what i could get for them and look for something in our marketplace that complimentd the Z a little better.
but if your dead set on keeping them , i dunno i guess a black powdercoat is about all you can do
good luck

Why stick with something you dont like? Just sell them, sure you wont get anywhere near 5500 (maybe, 1500 if you are lucky) but unless you paid extra for the car because of those wheels, it would be stupid to keep them and even worse to spend extra $$ on them!!

That's exactly what the detailers at the dealership said, but it was more like "ooooohh damn! you got them Lexani Jawns." By the way valets love them. I've been asked about them 3 times now.
The design actually doesn't look that bad on the car. Particularly on the rear wheels.

Chrome rims just look hideous on Z. Put those heavy *** rims on ebay or something
and get yourself a forged 19"

Go over to the G35 forum and post them up, some of those guys might bite. Also...if the offsets are right...altima, maxima, maybe even the murano....fx???? I know our bolt pattern fits a lot of other cars, it's just the offset you have to worry about...mustang fits, hahahahaha, oh man if you could sucker in a stang owner that would be awesome.

That looks a lot like Pick-Your-Part. I have some serious beef with them. My bike was stolen and then towed and sold to them while I was out of town. When I got back I called their headquarters and told them the situation and the lady promised that they would hold the bike. When I went down there they had already crushed it.
Bastards.

put them on ebay, and make sure you mention EVER car they will fit, some kook that drives a used Lexus will want to look like he just got off of "pimp my ride" so I am sure they will sell.

You should have no problem selling them for enough to buy a nice set of wheels and tires.
For every sportscar guy that thinks they are hideous, there are 10 "ballers" that will cream over them.
