Default Should I be using these hub rings that came with my new volks?

I just got some new volk wheels and they came with 4 of these small rings, which I think are known as "hub rings". They fit on the hub and inside the wheel, so I'm wondering what they do? Should I be using them? My current volks don't have them.. Here's a picture of one of the rings:

The ones in the photo above that came with my wheels say this on the outside:

73.1φ X 66.1φ

I'm not sure what those φ symbols are.

eek the devil?

I got hub rings too but they're plastic =(
anyways the slip doesn't mention the z on it thats why I was asking. it says 73mm and 67.06mm or 2.870" and 2.640"..

I was wondering why we needed these? Maybe it'll become a lot more clear when were putting the new wheels on..

Aluminum is a lot better than plastic. Correct size hubcentric rings will ensure a vibration free ride.

I was supplied with the wrong size rings for my Enkeis and I'm currently running without until new ones arrive - no vibration, wobbles or any problems. Am I secretly damaging wheels, car or both?

Quick question bump.

Whats the best way to install these? on the rotor first or in the wheel?

put them on the rotor . they won't go all the way in , but when you put your wheels on and bolt wheels down they will go in .

I hear ya brotha, I'm over big lip rims... The LE's look so nice and looks very easy to maintain that lip.

Yes, run them. Not absolutely necessary, but definitely a great thing to have. If you already have a set, no reason not to put them on.
