Rim & Tire Trends - What are you tired of?

I personally love Volk GT-S's, but I didn't know they were so common and popular, kinda makes them not as cool, but w/e I'm still getting em. Haven't seen them in San Jose yet so I'm still good.

Work S1's. Everyone has them now ><.
I can't stand tire stretching to fit rediculous offsets that make handling worse than stock.
I can't stand 20'' wheels on a Z. Stock Z at stock height, even worse.
I can't stand people who paint stock 17s. Just save up and get some decent wheels?
I can't stand people who buy expensive rims but don't buy low dust pads lol. Okay, maybe I Just feel bad for them.

I was being sarcastic about the Volk Le37...
I have them... I love them. I have not yet seen another Z in oregon w/ volks. (yes I know a few oregon Z owners on here have VOLKS, but none that are the VOlk le37 black. And I have NOT SEEN THEM yet in person).
I love my volks =)

I had a feeling the all black or black w/ polished lip was gonna be mentioned in this thread, just by the title. Ive seen many different cars, with this combo. Even some police cars have them over here.

Read post #1 and Read post #18 - This thread is a sounding board; check the previous posts...
A few people have taken the purpose of this post the wrong way and jumped on the keyboard before actually reading the topic. Remember those kids who would blurt out an answer in class or during a board meeting and be COMPLETELY WRONG.... Well?

I think its funny that people have such (seemingly) heated opinions about other peoples' wheel selections.
Oh, and lol at the OP trying to be original by asking other peoples' opinions.

I know I may be bias because I own a set but I've noticed this long even before I bought a set of Volks. There are certain wheels in the Volks line that are timeless such as the TE37, SF Ch, SF Win, LE37, etc. Those have been around for over 10 years and they still look good. You can get one of these and you'll never worry about them going out of style.

Volks is popular cause they are good looking and great performance wheels. I used to have a set of ADRs, they look great but too heavy and the finish is nothing compare to work or volks...In Canada, I dont see lots of volks at all, cause not too many ppl would spend 4-5k CAD on rims..I believe as long as the color of your rims match well with your car, whatever color is great. Its like Louis Vuitton, so damn popular, but only a few model out there...right?

I thought this was "Trends" what are you tired of?
As oppose to "brands".
Volks and Works, (like the 350z) have past the realm of being just trends. They're basically here to stay.

you changed/edited your 1st post after the fact. It doesn't make any sense to try to attack me after that. I read your original post, and a few post after, but you edited your posts which seems pretty shady. Well, since you changed them, I'll slightly change mine.

I don't mind chrome if the car is being setup for looks... Just nothing really cheesy or complicated. Keep it simple. There are plenty of stylish chrome rims that will fit the Z.

Hahaha, I love you guys, you all speak my mind. Honestly Volks might be a trend/fad to some people but to me they're definitely the perfect wheels for the Z. They offer great variety of offsets and designs that just seem to work with the Z's body style. I went through 5 sets of wheels and wanted to get out of the trend and went for SSR...and they were great wheels but I just got pulled into the Volks somehow...timeless designs
As for trends I don't like? Chromies on tuner cars...I'm not talking about the RMC finish or the high polish...I'm talking about full out Hummer rims on Z...looks hidious. I also hate high offsets like the guy who ran +0 on his Z...looks retarded.
I agree...used to have gunmetal and liked it but black is a lot classier.
Me too!!!
Word...give it a few years I'll add the Volk GT-S to the list too...I just think their designs are perfect, I haven't seen a set of Volks that I did not like.
