Default Can you Rotate your Tires?

I just came from the dealership and they suggested I rotate my tires. Now I've seen postings on the board saying you cannot rotate the tires for the Z. Is that only for grand touring? I currently have the BASE 350Z. Thanks for anyones help!

cant rotate F to R but u can do L to R if ur tires are not directional but that really dosnt do much u got to un mount them and remount them with their perspective opposit.

Yes. If the tires are wearing properly, the cost exceeds the potential benefits.

You cannot do Front to Rear because your tires are most likely different widths, and then you would be running wider in the front than the back. And that would be retarded, unless you want ****ty launching and amazing understeer!!!!!

And you can't switch sides cause then the tires will rotate the oppostite direction that they are used to, and they will explode. Haha.

So the easy answer is no, not on Z.

*BUZZZZZ* Wrong! The easy answer is yes. You can switch the sides the tires are mounted on, without messing up the rotation direction, it is done all the time. I believe I was quoted $35 to do the tire swap rotation. You could do the really easy thing though, and just go beat the **** out of the z for a little and wear the outsides even to the insides

Just thought I would fix the "tire blow up" wrong direction theory while I'm at it. Putting tires on with the wrong direction will NOT cause it to blow up. The only difference will be it will not perform the way it should, but it's not going to blow up when you drive on it.

I know I don't seriously think they blow up haha! But I thought it was pretty bad for them to be driven the opposite way they are used to, at normal driving conditions (not just like reverse). Hmmm!

There's a fairly large group of us going from NoVa and MD. Some are showing some are not. You're more than welcome to join us. Just be ready for the typical Mid-A drinking binge associated with any meet or gathering. LOL
