Default Work vs. Volk...

Here is my dilemma:

Need rims for the summer..I have to keep the Z looking hot and different from other cars/Z's.

Work Meister S1 3p in gloss black 19 x 9.5 and 10.5

vs.

Volk Le or Te 37 in gunmetal either way..same size as above.

In my Z's future is a turbo kit..but this summer only rims and some bolt ons..

Works are hot looking but I hate that there are not center caps and I have to buy diff lug nuts because the ones that come suck..I also hate the weight but I hear there only gonna be around 23lbs front and 26 rear...so it doesnt seem to bad..maybe a tenth or so...

Volks are hot too ..but I feel that the look of the meisters will be hotter...with that lip...and then if yes to volk then a polished lip or no polish..the weight is the big reason I like the volks....

So please help me make my decision...my search button is worn out...I need some fresh new input/ideas...or any more data on these two ..or a third choice..other then volk/work..Ive seen all of their stuff..

Thanks Will

P.S: my z is an 06 and it is Silver Alloy

Since turbo is in your future, you may benefit more from the lighter Volks.

+1 on the Volks...Don't care for the Works personally. The concave look of the Volks is far superior than the lip on the Works.

You picked the wrong rims to go with that statement.

I wouldnt do either. Too many people have those rims. Go with the less commonly used wheels. Whats your budget?

They are both played out. Do something a bit more original.

If you want to be different you are going to have to get something different, not the most wanted volk's ever made and the most wanted work's ever made.

Here is my vote.
(Prodrive GC06H)

here they are on this lovely Z with that bad a$$ Varis Arising 1 kit...that i want so badly.

or these (Prodrive GC010G)

They are both light, and rare...very rare.

Prodrive has been around for a while, they are big in the WRX arena. It is just hard to find anything out side of WRX specs. They are about the same price of Volk/Advans

GC-06H and GC-010G on 18x8.5 are about $670 ea

I personally went with Volks simply because the Work were pricier and although the SP are the sickiest wheels ever, they just do not agree with a lot of people. As a former Subie owner, Prodrive makes great products, high quality, but pricey for what you get. However, all my mods were Prodrive and I had zero regrets.

I have been looking for outside companys for rims..but I just cant find anything short of hre's that I like...

I am thinking Im gonna go with the le37's in a gloss black...I know it wont be diff..but as long as I dont see any locals with em..

I meant to be different from a stock z...as alot around here are..but I do see the point of being diff overall..but its so damn hard....

The LE37's are one of my all-time favorite rims... if you really want to go different.. get some Jlines/DPEs/or Iforged.

Just about every Volk is played out on this forum.

I pick the Work's.

And if your going turbo, a lightweight wheel won't matter with the amount of power you'll be making.
