I've had ES100s on girlfriends civic and on my S14... they are loud when at speed, but they absorb bumps better... good sidewalls also.

I also have Advan Neovas on the S14... awsome tire, wear is about medium... grip is excellent in wet and dry... noise is less that the ES100... stif *** side walls and absorbs bumps nicely.

I have always used Pirelli and in the last 4 years been using Yoka... only real issue is noise.

Peace
Drew

When I had my RSX-S I had ES 100s on it - handled great but they are definitely loud.

I agree with Scarab440, davidv thread is very informative. On that note ladies and gentlemen TOYOs has my VOTE. With the price matching I got from a fellow Z :Thanks to VolkDB350Z of G350Z: TOWN FAIR TIRES should be able to do it for around $200 a tire installed. I was a toss-up between YOKO and TOYO for while, but with davidv thread the TOYO edge out.

I like to thank all you for your info and opinion. I can't says enough great thing about the Z community. And if anyone else asked about tires I will direct them to davidv thread.

Now if mother nature would only cooperate and stop it with the northeaster in spring, maybe it'll be sunny enough to put my summer rims.

IMO the T1Rs are too soft in the sidewalls. I can't push them as hard as some of the other tires I've tried. I'm not 100% in love with the traction either. My first set will be my last.

I agree

Not a big fan of these either. Poor traction and wear

Based on what? I've never heard of this before and I've been happy with the Yoks I've tried (Advan AVS Sport, A540 (no long made)) Please provide something to back this claim.

I have the stock 18's with stock size T1-R's. Most people on here have aftermarkets with Toyo T1-R's and still complain of sidewall stiffness. Don't say I didn't warn you....

The only Toyo that I will run is the RA-1. T1-R is just easily had, that's why I believe that most people have them.

JDMFairladyZ33... The salesman who was rep the YOKO suggested not to go with it, for the pot hole reason.

This is only my personal preference with what I think I'm going to uses it for. Mainly daily commute and the occasional gragway/late night aggressive driving with friends. And looking at ones of davidv thread (here: https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-tires/238217-need-tires-opinions-please.html ) the TOYO was rate second in one of the chart. Most of its rating in traction in dry and wet category was very good. I think second only to the GYs eagle. Plus my option is to go to a store that don't want to sell me YOKOs vs one that very technical about T1Rs. I am fully aware the chart says T1S not R. But under these circumstances I don't think I have a choice.

I didn't mean to start a WAR about tires! I just wanted to hear everyone opinion and maybe some help with pricing. Which I did get. So if I wronged anyone or disagree with you opinion let me apologized. Story of my life.

Again I just like to thank all of you for your contribution! Thank you, thank you and thank you.....
