Default About to buy these rims...

Hey guys, I am about to buy these rims with the following specs, and my question follows the specs:

Bolt pattern : 5x114.3mm

Size : 18x8.5 Front & 18x9.5 Rear (** Staggered Fitment**)

Offset : 20mm Front & 25mm Rear

I currently have stock 18" rims with the follow tires on the rims:

Front: 225/45/18
Rear: 245/45/18

With the new size rims, will I be able to fit the tires I currently own on the new rims, or will just the rear tires fit on the front?

I think this question has been answered before but...

NO & NO. The best fit for the wheels you're getting are 245/40-R18 fronts and 275/40-R18 rears. You can also go with 265/40-R18 rears but you have more brand options with the larger rears.

you can put your stock tires right on those wheels , no problems . But the above mentioned combo would be great to go to once the stockers wear out.

bad advice don't listen to this guy. You could maybe put the rears on the front (I wouldn't go that route) and get new rears but other than that you need to get new tires.

Hint: Before thinking about tires do some research and find out what the stock rolling diameters are. Then look at the tires that you want to buy and compare it's rolling diameter with stock and the rim width range given.

I do not recommend a 245 mm tire on a 9.5 inch wheel.

don't people run 245's all the time on their 9.5/10.5 setups?

I'm running 245/35-19s on my 19x9.5 TEs no problem. You can fit your stock tires on there but what is the point to upgrade rims if you are not going to upgrade the tires?

I dont want to buy new tires because I just got new tires in December. I would like to get new rims, but not have to buy new tires along with them

Here's a question... Could he use his stock 245/45/18 rears on the front of the new wheels and get 275/40's for the rear? I got the 245/40 on my Emotion 18's with 8.5 front, but I think the 40 series a little small compared to the 275/40 rear's I have. I understand that a 245/45 may mess up speedo calibration a little, but it shouldn't much.

Personally, I think that the 245/45 front and 275/40 rear's are a good idea, plus it will save him some money with only having to buy 2 tires instead of 4.

I say go for it with moving your stock rears to the new wheel fronts and just pick up a set of 275/40's for the rear of your new wheels. Check the classifieds you should be able to find some nice used or new tires there. If not, E-Bay.
