Default Tire Set Up

I know it's been talked about for a while on here and generally most say to keep the rears the same or higher than the front for sidewalls. However, after looking at the G35 forum and a thread about the new G37 brochure, if you look, the set up is 225/45 F and 245/40 R. I am just curious as to why Infiniti went with that set up and why generally the feedback on the forum is to not go smaller on the rear? I know a lot of you guys are techs with this so just want to starta topic on this for some good info. Thanks!

Tubbs, that's my impression, so I'm trying to figure out what reason there is that Infinti is going this route?? Anyone?

Guys,

225/45 front and 245/40 rear are the same overall diameter (the sizes here only vary in width). The G37 has an AWD model, and of course, AWD (four-wheel-drive) requires the same overall diameter front to rear.
