Default Volk racing wheels and tire size

Hi,

I am planning on buying some volk racing wheels. I havent still made a choise between the GTC or the GTS but they are going to be 19" front 9.5 and rear 10.5. I have a boosted Z with 700 hp and I want to ask you guys which offset and tire measurements should I take to have the best performance? The most grip for putting that power to the ground. As wide as possible without rubbing anything. I know some of you have a 305 but can it be done without rubbing? I will also buy new suspension, probably Tein. Any ideas?

Thx

Sounds like, based on your car stats that you gave and what you're looking for, rolling is gonna have to happen.

You'll need the higher offset version of the GTS/GTC to make 305's work. Probably like +26 minimum. Don't know what they are off the top of my head. Don't even THINK about getting the +17 version offsets, you WILL regret it. You won't have to worry about rubbing as long as your offsets are fine. Talk to one of the wheel vendors here for specific applications for your needs.

Most likely, but also depends on your drop.

If you roll your rear fender 305 with offset around 22 or higher shouldnt be a problem..

There is no way that setup will work. He'll need to SLAM his car, CUT his fenders, and run some major negative camber on a 10.5" width rim with 305's. Prove me wrong.

How about 295, is that a better option maybe? I just dont want to roll the rear fender. What tire size do you recommend for the front?

If you don't want to roll the fender, you need to aim for about +28 or above. I also forgot your FI, you don't want to mess with neg camber to make your wheels work for your car. What's the point with having that much power when their is less tire contact on the street?

275FR, 295RR easily. Others run 315 rear, look at Philthy's posts.

Are you referring to Philthy's SSR's wheels?
