Default What can I do about this rim damage?

So, my girlfriend crashed into my car a few minutes ago. She destroyed the left fender and she also nicked the rim.

The rim is a Volk SF Challenge. What is the least costly way to repair this? I am going to college full-time and working part time so money is definitely an issue right now.

Thanks guys

ouch that sucks. problem is, volk barrels are anodized. you see the dull gray material? that's the oxidized aluminum. i guess the easiest fix is to take it to a wheel dent repair have that part welded in and polished... but it will NOT look exactly like the anodization.

i hope your girlfriend gives you some... "compensation".

Yeah, she's ok. She keeps asking me if I am going to break up with her though

She was backing up with her Jeep and BAM!!! Looks like I should update my sig now. 5 accidents in under 2 years

Anyways, from andypandy's post, it sounds like this rim can be fixed, right? I thought the gouge was too deep to be repaired but if I can just have the rim repaired it'll save me a couple hundred.

edit: btw, does anyone have an extra driver side fender lying around? Mine is pretty twisted up.

yes, it can be fixed quite easily... aesthetically speaking, a lot of volk owners here have been very content with the service. for me, no... i guess it's a hit or miss.

fixing a wheel cost maybe.. 75-175, depending on what services are need to be done. in the southern california region, RB Motoring can fix for 75, truwheel fixes for about 125, etc... i am pretty sure it'll be less than a few hundred.

good luck dude, and she better compensate you.
