Default Please help me pick tires.

I'm looking to buy a set, I am on Stance Coilovers (true rear) with Rota P45r 18x9.5 wheels with a 25 offset.

If there is another choice you know of that i might like include it. The car is driven Very hard for the most part. Stock Re0-40's gone in 9k fronts have some left, but not much. I was able to rip entire chunks of the tire away driving hard on them.

Choice 1: Toyo T1-r Cost: $749
275/35/18 F
295/35/18 R

Choice 2: Falken RT-615 Cost: $1079
275/35/18 F
315/30/18 R

(I'm not sure if i will have problems with these)
A. Fitting them to my rims
B. Fitting them under my car
C. Being very heavy
c. All of the above

I auto cross, will do 2 track events this summer, and drive hard all the time. How are this tires break away characteristics. I need something up to the task for performance. How are these compared to the Re0-40 (stock)

Also i need a comparison to the stocks....becouse stock tread wear is 140 and toyo is 280, RT-615 are 200

Anything wider than 285s will be over the manufacture suggested min. wheel width. Your 9.5s will not hold 285+ tires properly. Even with a 9.5 wheel you will be very close to the minimum side of the application.

Forget the offset and clearance on the car. I'm still having trouble digesting 315s seating and functioning properly on 9.5" wheels. Generally that size requires 10.5-11.5" wheels. Check it out. Look at the specs on each tire:

The Eagle F1 GS-D3 is part of Goodyear's premier Eagle F1 series. While the Fiorano and the Supercar models are OE on some of the world's fastest cars, the GS-D3 is not without its highlights. It's a milder version of its two big brothers and is for people who want more performance from their stock or modified vehicles. With a shoulder-to-shoulder OneTRED design, it's said to have superior dry road cornering traction and enhanced steering response. Wet traction is above average thanks to the sweeping aquachannel grooves. The F1 finished third last year but did even better this time around and is our top max performance tire for 2005. It did it by being excellent in the wet and above-average in the dry.

How are they compared to the T1-R for the price of a set of the goodyears i could be on the Rt-615 or for a few more $$ the RA-1 does not seem worth it. I know they are great tires i had them on a e36 m3. the tread wear is the same on the toyo.

The Proxes T1R is included in the test.

I am now leaning toward the Kuhmo ecsta MX (275/35/18) F (295/35/18) R
they are 890 for the set without shipping. They seem very good for dry grip, tread life, and price.
