It seems like one side of the tire has less tread than the other...does that mean I have the tire feathering problem? There are pics of my left and right rears..

feathering is an issue on the front tires, no the rears, and those seem relatively even to me

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Feathering is symptomatic of the front tires. The rear tires do not turn. I see a minor difference in the wear pattern. Its insignificant. I would not even mess with a rear alignment.

They're not down to the wear bars so technically they're still good. Would I drive them in the rain - NFW. Do they have as much grip as new tires, no.

Tire feathering should produce uneven wear on the inside of your fronts. Alternating treadwear up and down. This also produces a "roaring" noise as you slow down to a stop. If you have this then you have to get the front end Camber adjusted and aligned. Most likely replace the front tires as well. Take it to Nissan and see if they will replace for free. They did on mine.
