Default Good deal for tires?

I kinda need new tires, but I don't wnat to spend a lot of money since I never really drive the car anyways. I want something really sticky w/o getting a race tire. I hear the Pilot Sports are good. Is this a good deal? It's the exact sizs I want... so why not?

For some reason I get mad over steer so I was pondering a PS on the front and NT555R on the rear. Ideas and opinions?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-SUP...spagenameZWDVW

I have the Kumho MX's now and they are a nice tire but the rears just wont hold traction anymore cause the tread is so low, or because my camber is a little off and I don't get full tread contact to the road... I dunno, talk to me people.

Oh and I never drive in the rain so that's not a problem.

I have the michelin pilot sport ps2 on and my rears have never gave in there was once during the mountain run recently that I went too quick on a turn and felt my rear starting to angle out but the rear tires caught grip in a split second but these tires aren't that cheap either...in the rain or dry road these tires have never lost grip on me yet I love these tires and realy recommend them 2 thumbs up A+++++..

I have NT555's. They're not the best tires for your money. Go with Falkens if you're looking for inexpensive tires with some grip.

The problem is, not many of those tires come in the size I want and I really never drive the car so used is fine by me. I know the PS2's are awesome, but are those pilot sports about the same?

Simply put, are those pilot sport's in the link better than Kuhmo MX's...?

The pilot sports are different from the PS2s. The pilot sports have a nice aggressive tread pattern, but the PS2s are superior in every other way, maybe except tread life.

The pilot sports is an older tire/old technology, but is roughly the same price as the PS2s. I think the only reason that michelin keeps them around is because they're an OE tire for some cars such as the M3.

The MXs should out-perform the pilot sports, but for that ebay price, the PSs seem like a good buy.

I looked at the NT555R's as well, but at a 100 tread life it's pointless.

Kumho's tend to be cheap in price. I had the supra 712's on my old car, they were nice yet inexpensive.

What sizes are you looking for? I have 3 sets I'm looking to sell.

Kumho MX 245/40 & 295/35 $400 + shipping
Bridgestone RE050A 245/40 & 275/40 $500 + shipping
Bridgestone RE960AS 245/40 & 275/40 $500 + shipping

285/35/18 for the rear and 255/40/18 for the front.

The Falken Azenies or whatever seem nice. I just want something that will stick very well, but I can still drive on the street while staying not too high in price. The PS2's at 385 per tire is too much.

The Kumho MX's I'm selling would be what you want then.

So I really havn't found anything I want yet. If I find the rear size I want that tire isnt made in the front size I want and vise versa. the KDW, the Azenies (sp) and the yokohama AD07 dont come in the right front rear combo I want.

However these do, but are they going to be as sticky as I want?

I mean they are 180 tread wear with AA A ratings, so that's about what my MX's were....

Never had good luck with Kumhos.. Always Broke a belt after agressive driving sessions.

The Advan Sports are quality tires. I thought you were looking for something a bit cheaper though.

I recently got tires and was considering the Advan sports, PS2s and bridgestone RE050A pole positions. I ended up with the RE050A PPs as they're a bit cheaper.

For a set of four in the sizes you want, the re050a PPs are about $200 less expensive.

As for the Falkens, both the 452s and the 615s come recommended. The 615s will be stickier, but also wear faster. If you can make do with 275/35/18s in the rear, then you could go with those. https://www.edgeracing.com/

Consider Toyo T1Rs. Bang for the buck, they are hard to beat. PM me for a quote.
