Thumbs up Velox PG-7C

Just got a set of Velox 18" Gunmetal PG-7C's they only weight 21 lbs. Lighter than the 17's and 18's and only a few lbs more than the rays. I will post pic's when they get installed on my LS.

the rims are a bit thin, thinner than stock.

as such, 18x7.5 at 21lbs is a good bit heavier when you consider that the 19lb rays are 18x9.5.

typicly you dont want to go thinner, even the 17" rims use 8" wide rims in the rear.

your car tho.

What's with that centercap? Looks like the floor drain in a public restroom.

The rays are only 8.5 not 9.5. BTW you only need 8's for anything over 245 and 8.5's for over 265. So by going with a wider wheel you are just adding weight.

My goal was to put 245's on all four corners. So with the wheel at 21 lbs and tire at 27 they will be about 48 lbs total. The bridgestones which are 28 and the rays at 19 are about 47 lbs.

So same tread width as the rays in the rear and 20 wider in the front this should also help a little with understeer.

BTW, Velox also makes a 17 that's is 12 lbs for those looking for a very light track wheel.

I noticed that you had those exact rims on your civic, figured youd chime in.

and the 18x9.5" rims that are sitting on my car are 19lbs. gonna tell me otherwise? as for extra weight, right now my tires are just about where Id have to lose my damn mind to over drive the car. the traction is unbelievable. and that is 275 on 9.5 and 245 on 8.5. on my car anyway.

owell, its an arguement that can be made forever. so I wont bother trying to make the case any further.
