Default 18" Michelin PS2 compatibility with TPMS system

Yes, I searched for the answer exhaustively.

I'm replacing the original stock wheels on my 2004 Performance, and based on the threads it looks like the Michelin PS2 is the way to go for summer tires at that size.

The only thing I can't figure out is if I can migrate the tire pressure to them without having to do all that custom adapter stuff linked in the thread. Anyone know?

TPMS has nothing to do with the tires you choose.

On the other hand, the TPMS may or not fit the wheels you choose. What wheels are you considering?

^ what he said. The tire has nothing to do with the TPMS, which is attached to your wheel valve stem. The PS2 will work fine - best street tire IMO, but also one of the most expensive.

original post quote hronk - "I'm replacing the original stock wheels" implying you were replacing the wheels and tires.

This is where your question was confusing. In your second post, you are clearly not replacing the wheels, you are only replacing your tires.

In short, you will be fine.

I have the PS2's and have been very happy with them. However, my only frame of reference is the potenza's. I have not personally compared them with others.

Doh, I read the 18" & 19" OEM wheels as "tires" for some reason.

Thanks a lot for the assistance.
