Default Getting new tires pole.....

Which are the stickiest? Don't care about how long they last, but these are my only options for the size I want so I cant go KDW or Azenies and PS2's are way too much.

Falken 452

Toyo TR1

Goodyear Eagle F1

Unless you know of anything better I can get in a 245/40/18 and 285/35/18.......???

I just got my Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Positions two days ago. They are pretty nice as far as I can tell right now. I've heard all of those other tires are pretty good, too.

I checked on the Toyo T1r's, but they were actually more expensive than the bridgestones (i got a tire special on the RE050As) when you factor in installation and all of that other stuff. i've heard that bridgestones are a better tire.

I've owned the T1's, F1 GS D3, P-Zeros, and Potenzas between my Z and my WRX. My favorite tire has been the F1 for both performance, road noise, and durability. My second favorite would be the Toyo, but overall performance, comfort, and etc... goes to the F1 IMO.

+1
I've owned the F1 GS-D3 and they don't give as good of feedback as a Bridgestone Potenza, and that includes the less grippy 040's that came stock. Even though the 040's were a lot less sticky than the F1's, I was more comfortable on Bridgestones at high speed mountain chases due to road feedback. No discredit to the stickiness and toughness of F1's, but it's a feel thing.
Now on 050A's from an 07 and they are just great!

Where did you get this special, is it possible that I could get it?

I think so. I found out about the deal on Tirerack.com. I was pricing tires and this special popped up when I brought up the Bridgestone tire for a pricing quote. Originally, a set of four was 782 but they have this deal running at Bridgestone until the end of June where if you buy 4 you get 100 dollars off. I went to a tire store and showed them the deal and they matched it. I was out the door with my new tires for 850

i might add, too, that the tire store was like a bridgestone supplier so they were able to match the deal.

i priced the toyos, which i thought were supposed to be a little more inexpensive and not quite as good performance-wise, but they were gonna cost me 1010 out-the-door...compared to 850 out-the-door for the bridegstone RE050As.

I've had Falken 452's on my S14, Toyo T1-R's, Kumho MX's on the Z. AutoX-ed cars w/ the Goodyear F1's as well as going through 3 sets of R-comps; Hoosiers and V710's. For as street tire there is nothing as good as the Falken RT-615's when it comes to dry weather grip. Under full tread depth, they're even very good in the rain. After trying 615's on the S14 w/in a week I bought them for the Z. Their wear is a joke though, you'll be lucky to get more than 10k miles on 'em if you're remotely aggressive. But no non R-comp tire can touch 'em ('cept maybe the one off sized tires for the STi's and Evo's)

Bridgestone RE01R, very sticky, highly recommended over all of those options.
Out of your options, Id go with the Goodyear Eagle F1-GS

The biggest problem with the RE01R's is the lack of size choices right now.
