Default Which Tires?...(PICS)

Nitto Neogen

Toyo T1-R

Don't have experience with either, but it's time to change the rears on the Z. Both are about the same price, so these are my two choices.

neither

i've tried both and hated them.

imo, spend a little more and go for the goodyear gs-d3 or bridgestone re050 pole positions

+1, Pop has them on his BMW 530i. Cheap, very quiet and good wear. A little hard so dry traction isn't as good as my KDW2s, but in the wet they are pretty good. Def worth the price.

I have T1-R and compared to stock there is no comparison. When I skirt between shifts, it is loud and only for a brief second before the car squats, sticks, and takes off.

I have had T1-Rs and liked them overall - Its a good tire, but not great. I wish the sidewall wasnt soo soft too. The sizes tend to run a little smaller than some other brands though.

the potenzas are good tires but they are soft rubber so they are going to wear out quickier, but i think they are excellent tires. i am personnally running nitto nt555 on my car.

I've got the T 1Rs and very happy with them. But the consensus from other threads is they have soft sidewalls...meaning they are not a good choice if you approach the limits of adhesion in cornering frequently. I don't so they are fine for me.

Going with the T1-R's. Getting a good price on 'em. I like to do some "spirited" driving every once in a while, but I don't track or anything extreme.

THX for the replies.

What price are you paying including delivery? And where did you buy them?

I think I paid $900 delivered from Edgeracing about 1 1/2 years ago.

By the way, highly suggest an alignment.

I'll PM you, as I am getting them from one of the vendors on the board.
