Default Squeaking Rear

I have an '05 6MT with about 50K miles. There is a squeaking sound coming from what I think is the rear suspension. Either I can only hear it at low, parking lot speeds, or thats the only time it exists. Any ideas?

I had someone else listen to it today. They descibed it as a clicking/squeaking type noise. It happens when I speed up and slow down at parking lot speeds. It's really getting under my skin!

Hi,

I have same noise under same situation (parking lot speed), I went to dealership
3 times for the same problem.
They have done rear axle tsb and replaced suspension without any luck.
The noise seems getting worse, I can hear it all the time when in low speed and especially when I turn left.

Any one try this grease fix?
I will try it, and can you tell me what do you use to grease it.

Thanks.

I have the same noise.
I plan to change out the entire bushings and we'll see if that fixes the noise. I'll also try to grease those areas.
I drift, so I figured my bushings are done... I have 30K BTW.

I tried WD-40 cause it looks like the straw in the picture but it didn't work. Maybe dissassemble, grease, and reassemble... what kind of grease?

Ahhhhh, I got the same noise as well. Will try greasing it. Started as what sounded like a squeak and has gotton progressively louder. I've got 3600 miles on my '06. Lowered on Eibach's.

FIXED!!!!

BigPhil is right. It's those sway bar link joints that make horrible creaking noises!! I went to the shop last night, and my mechanic squarted oil into those joints with a needle syringe and the noise disappeared instantly! He used the needle syringe, because it is crucial to put the oil deep inside those joints. Good luck!

Sorry I didn't check which grease/oil he used. I was originally going to use the "****" grease.. one of those thick heavy greases.... but my mechanic went and got some yellowish trasparent and apparently not too tick enough grease to put in the syringe.. It just might be a motor oil... You know, it's just a simple joint.. I bet you can pretty much use any type of automotive grease. What's important is you must apply the grease deep inside the joint...

Hi Leeboy,

Can you give the shop a call to find out the grease.
You are the only one in this thread who had the latest experience that works.
Help us here.

Thanks,

You need to put some elbow grease on the LSD transmogrifier spline. After about 25,000 miles, the spline becomes engorged with road tar and maple syrup. Listerine works wonders as well. Hope this helps. Good luck.
