All-season Tires

I'm in central Ohio and I still vote for 2 sets of tires.
With the icy roads we get here, the second set of tires is cheaper than a new fender.
Better yet, get a 500$ beater! Aha!

this coming from someone that lives where it is required to use two different sets of tires depending on the season, otherwise you will get pulled over and ticketed (my brother in law lives and works in schweiz). my car handles just fine, acutally better than the summer only tires i had on and definitley better than the stock crap.

I ordered the GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ALL SEASON. I only have about 150 miles on them now so I really cant comment on how they perform. Only reason i am taking a chance with A/S tires is I get a 30 day test drive. I will respond in about a week or so with my initial impressions
Oh ya. I got 245-40-18 FRONT and 245-45-18 REAR

I have been testing GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ALL SEASON in the rain to find their limits. At 70 MPH on the highway, they are very secure. They are good on wet curves. One specific area where I have learned to be cautious: Accelerating out of a curve. I am conservative with the throttle.

In the wet or dry?
My tires are just barely breaking in, so I havent pushed them to find out anything just yet
I've been driving on the RE0960AS Pole Positions for a couple hundred miles now. Haven't pushed them too hard in the rain, but no surprises. I have 245/40/18 fronts and 274/40/18 rears. I love 'em.
I just drove home with my new set of F1 All Season tires, and I must say my first impression is very positive. It was a wet drive home and I had LOTS of rear end traction, even straight out of the shop. The old tires were BFG g-Force KDWs, and I feel like I have more straight line traction right away. Admittedly the BFGs were worn, but I can't remember having that much grip for a long time. And did I mention quiet? The F1 is night and day compared to the BFG noisemakers.
Very happy so far - we'll see what the coming weeks bring.

Thats what I have and they work good. I have had them in snow, autocross, and the dragstrip. Good all around tire.
