Default OEM Rims

I've screwed the goose with 3 of my 4 2003 Z OEM rims. Thinking about replacing with "new" OEM rims the next time I need tires.

Anyone have an educated guess what it would cost me to buy a set of "mint" 4 OEM 18" rims for the Z?

With all the aftermarket rims I see on here there must be a number of people with OEM rims taking up garage space.

Related questions:

How durable are rims that are chrome dipped? How easily do they chip?

And cost of dipping?

Yes,I know I'm going to take grief on chrome but, guys, I'm from the 60s....chrome was king!!

If you lived closer to me i could have sold you mine. I have 4, 07 18" wheels with tires. Brand new i have 1300 miles on them. I have a set of Ce28N Time attacks coming from japan as we speak it, they should be in about a week. To be honest, with you I would rather not ship the wheels. If your up here in the great northwest shoot me a pm or something, if not, then i hope you find some wheels near you. Good luck with your search.

Chrome is still king. I don't understand why everyone is so quick to judge chrome! Open your eyes people, it's just a finish!

it's just tacky, it doesnt look right on a sports car

some chrome mags on a 69 camaro or something is cool, but not on a Z. You can pull it off if the spoke design is performance oriented, a la the SMC finish on some volks but even that is a bit much.

Ah, don't listen to these punks, they just jump on the latest trends. They will soon be haten on painted rims as well.

You can get the wheels repaired for ~$100 per wheel instead of buying new ones, check out awrs - alloy wheel repair specialists...but a set in good shape 03-05 18s goes for ~$600

You should be able to find 06-07 wheels for around 800 off the forums. As they're becoming more common now they aren't exactly worth 1k+ as they use to be.

The stock Z chrome wheels look great imo. I have a set of 03 track wheels with brand new kdw2 tires I've been debating selling.

Great find, z-u-later.

Your right; that would fill the bill perfectly. $550 sounds like decent price.

Appreciate the post.
