Default Quietest, best handling (non-rut following) tires?

Alright, I want to poll the board for its collective wisdom regarding tire selection. I currently have Toyo T1's, and I'm not overly happy about two things: 1) tire noise, and 2) tendency to follow ruts in the pavement. My setup is 19x8.5f and 19x9.5r (20 mm offset on both) with 245/35f and 275/35r. The tires have about 10k on them, and haven't shown too much wear. I've rotated them side to side twice (so three times if you count their original placement). I'll be replacing them soon, and I'm looking for suggestions on tire type keeping in mind the issues I have with the T1's. Any suggestions?

Try Avon. Tire Rack is the US distributor...they are US made. I cannot say enough as to how good these tires are.

They have both Hi-performance summer Tech M500 and all season Tech M550. I went with the all season 225/18 front & 275/18 rear. No tire whine, no tramming, excellent traction. In the UK, they are the racing tire brand, and have about 1,800 racing application fitments.

I have bought just about every tire that has ever been made...and for high performance, (and their almost dirt cheap) I can't say enough about them.

When I called Tire Rack to buy new shoes, I was going to buy PZero Nero's...(had it with the noisey and expensive Michelins).

The sales guy at TR said to try these...since they were not expensive, I said what do I have to loose.

Don't get the idea that these are some cheapo tire...in the UK they are the standard tire on Aston Martins, Bentleys, etc., and have a racing heritage that is unequalled.

My wife's Michelins are coming off at the end of the month, and Avons are going on. She has had it with the rough ride and tire whine, and one ride in my Z was enough for her.

Didn't mean to sound like a salesman for Avon, but when you find a product that mets or exceeds your expectations, it's just hard to stop.

your comments on the Toyos surprise me. I've had the T 1Rs on for 15,000 miles and have not had either of the problems you mention.

Honestly, I expected much better given their reputation. I've had a few other brands in the past on other performance cars, and they were not as noisy and didn't tram as bad (and they were even wider). I'm guessing every application is slightly different (maybe offset will affect the tramming?).

Thanks for the other suggestions. I'll look into them all. Any others?
