Default Just put new tires i think im going to cry

I just got my toyo t1r's on the car and i want to cry. It is horrible
the worst thing ever. The car wags all over the road
what is the problem, Is it that there is the ever so slightest stretch on the front, the front size is 255/35/18 on a 18x9.5 inch wheel

fitment seems fine. I've heard the toyos are soft, though.

not sure what the problem would be but i have no issues at all with my T1R's. i believe i have 245/35/19 on a 19*9.5 in front....... so a 255/35/18 on a 18*9.5 wouldnt really be stretched, would it?

maybe the tires need to be balanced? have no idea. just guessing.......

probably being new tires is what causing them to ''wag'' all over the road.

just throwing some ideas out, and no it has not happened to me, but I read somewhere I think on this board of someone having issues with their new tires, and someone suggested that it could be their new the tires.

Well they are brand new, but the car felt great on worn down, 265/285 p-zeros, and it felt great on 225/245 reo40's I dont get it, the car was just alligned but not with the new tires. Its something like -1.8 camber front, and -1.7 rear, toe is all in spec as well tire pressure is at 36, im going to go scuff them in and ill write back in a day or so hopefully you all check back and give me imput when i repost. sorry if this has spelling errors, i was rushing out the door

it could be tread flex or alignment ive heard of some people "scrubbing" tires but never seen anyone it actually did anything for.

No need to worry... High performance tires are "slippery" during the initial "break-in." Within the next week driving these tires, you will notice a significant improvment. The "wiggly" feel goes away.

Yeah, just drive on them lightly to begin with, as with any new tire. From what I recall, there's excess silicon on the tires from coming out of the mold, which needs to wear off from driving. Ride with caution for the first 50 miles or so. Just to be safe, give them like 200 miles and they should be good.

Tires balancing have no effects on making the car "wag" or not. balancing will only solve vibration issues. IMO the Toyos are decent tires but not for hard driving. The sidewalls are a bit soft for my taste. What you are experiencing OP is the sidewall design. From a glass half full point of view at least they ride well straight.
