I have an 06 Grand Touring Z that I am going to get the wheels repaired for (rays 19" and 18" stock wheels), and I am basically stuck between these two finishes. I was originally thinking about going for the polished look, however after seeing the Nismo 350Z's wheels, I am now leaning towards gunmetal instead. My Z is a silverstone with a few minor mods (see sig), so I basically want what will look best on that.

 

Go gunmetal or black. Dont do polish!!!

 

Gunmetal FTW! My '06 rims (street setup) and track rims (autocross setup) are both painted gunmetal and they look sharp on my Silverstone Z. My door handles are also painted gunmetal and it simply looks amazing.

I pretty much decided on getting the gunmetal powdercoat instead. I might finally post some pics of my Z when they are done.

 

BTW, do NOT powdercoat forged rims. It weakens them. Have them custom painted instead. That's what I did with my track rims.
