On the bridgestone website it says that for the 295/30/18 RE050A Pole position the aproved wheel size is 10-11.5 i have a 9.5 inch wide wheel. will this be ok, it is a track car. Performance is key

If it is a track car, then it is important that you properly match your tires and rim size. You should stay within the guidelines for that rim. Go with a 9" rim, if the 9.5" rim suggests a wider tire.

What kind of tracking are you doing with this setup? I would go with a 275 or 285.
