So as I approach my car to go to work I realize that the lug nuts on my car are rusted!!! Wtf? anyone else have this problem and any suggestions on getting the rust out? I dont really feel like buying new ones as I just got these!

 

I got all 20 lug nuts not use, but Im at CA. I'm sure you can find someone local and get it for free.

 

are the "lug nuts" rusted or do you mean the bolts that they attach to rusted? bc on my car i'm starting to notice the bolts on the hub are starting to rust out!

 

its the inside of the bolts, its the lock set where you need a tool to get them on and off

 

Suck it up and buy some GOOD lug nuts. If these are the cheaper lug nuts that came with your aftermarket wheels (I'm assuming), then it's possible if the heads are rusted pretty bad, they can fall off and you won't be able to remove your wheel. Look at Mcgard lug nuts or rays iridium line. If you come to any of the local Chicago Meets, I can show you mine mcgards. I love em! (please dont steal em).

edit: missed where you saidd the rust is at. Nonetheless... I can this gettin worse if you don't replace them. Lug nuts are one thing I wouldn't want rust on.
