Well I've always been a Neeper guy myself,
(needless post of car that got traded in for Z):
so I can't speak too much about the quality of the 5Zigen product. Before I bought I asked a few friends that owned 5Zigens, and they were very satisfied with the quality. The weld seems to be top notch and it didn't take much weight to balance them (for whatever that's worth).
Here is a link to the 5Zigen page with the offsets.
My budget would have actually covered both HRE and Volk, but I went with the Hyper 5's on looks alone (personal preference), and so far, I'm glad I did.
As for fitting the Brembo's, I'm not sure, but my setup has a lot of clearance for the touring caliper.

It's not a question of what I can pay, but how much I really need to spend to make me happy. I bought a 95 Porsche 911, and it was one of the worst cars I've ever had......so much for spending $70,000 grand just because a car has such a great reputation. I'm sure there are those who love their Porsches, but mine was a lemon from day one, and it barely rivaled the performance of my '93 Z32 TT, which I drove everyday while the German turd was in and out of the shop for almost a year. I dumped the 911 and drove the Z32 for six more years, until I replaced it with a Z06, which proceeded to fall apart in short order. Maybe I'm cursed with lemons, but $50,000 for that piece of (very fast) crap was another mistake.
I bought the 350Z because it offered great performance at a good price, and because my previous Z was such a good car. I didn't buy another overpriced Porsche (now over $80,000) or another Vette, and I'm not going to spend $5000 on wheels if I don't have to. I'm looking for something a little different than most have already purchased.....something that offers a bit more of an aggresive appearance than the stock wheels but doesn't significantly hinder the performance. I don't think I need to spend $5000 on HRE's to do that.
From what research I've done on 5zigen wheels, I've come up with nothing to indicate they're not a first rate manufacturer, and certainly produce a wheel good enough to put on a $35,000 car.

Nice setup...I was looking to get the chrome wheels, but since you live in SoCal...maybe I'll look into the silver with the polished lip. Did you get a chance to check those out? I thought the silver would match with the door handles....

The silver ones are very nice also. In fact, if my z was any color other than black, I think I would have wanted the silver (of course the main reason I bought the black was so I could throw on some chrome...but I digress).
Anyways, don't shy away from the chrome ones just cause I have them. There is always gonna be someone out there with the same wheels no matter what you get. I just buy whatever is gonna make me feel good while driving, and puts a smile on my face whenever I walk out to the car.

Discount Tire informs me that they don't make wheels that will fit with the Brembos.....oh well....
Here is a shot of the front spoke clearance(about the same in the rear):
Are the Brembos really that much bigger? How about the Stoptecs? I was really hoping to go with larger aftermarket brakes sometime down the road.

That's a great shot! Thanks!
I just measured, and the front calipers stick out about 2.5" from the surface of the rotor. There's about 1/2" of clearance with the track wheels I now have. How thick are the stock rotors? Unless they're an inch or less, there should be enough clearance for the Brembos.

You're welcome.
The front rotor is 15/16 - 1", while the rear is 5/8. The distance from the edge of the stock rotor to the inside of the spoke is 3". Assuming that the Brembos rotor will have a larger circumference, that number will decrease to about 2.5" as the spoke angles inward into the rim.
Man, that's gonna be close...maybe too close. I think I'm gonna try it with a 5mm spacer since my wheels are slightly tucked. I wonder if different offsets would make a difference in the clearance?

THEY WILL FIT!
Sorry about the confusion for those of you with the Track Model. A new rep at 5Zigen was slightly misinformed, and we in turn made the same mistake.
a 19x8.5 +33 and
19x9.5 +31 will fit all day long with the Brembo brakes.
Myself, and 5Zigen are currently out of stock, but more coming VERY soon. Jason at 433 and myself at 414 would be glad to take any pre-orders now that you guys get to see just how nice they look!
The above size in silver...2500
the above size in racing chrome...2750

That's great to know, but with those offsets, I wonder how tucked the rear wheels will still be.
With a set of Volks GT-7's now available for $2000 including shipping, they also seem a little steep in price.
Beautiful wheels, though.
