Got them from Todd at Discount Tire Direct. About $2,500 for the set.

Forgot to mention that they weigh about 25 lbs each, which I think is great for chrome.

I saw these wheels on a G35 coupe when i was on my way back from Mammoth sking on hwy 15. He had 285's on the rear. They looked pretty sweet. Congrats!

now I wonder what they would look like in silver finish?? I am surprised more people haven't gotten them

Those do look great...nice work! One question, though--does the tire pressure sensor still work? If so, did you have to do anything special to hook them up again?

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I was expecting more of a "lukewarm" response after reading lots of posts regarding big chrome wheels on the Z. Lucky for me (and anyone else buying them), they turned out to be a little lighter than the stock 18's.

The rear wheels are slightly tucked, so if anyone's considering using these and want the wheel to stick out to the edge of the fender, I would suggest an offset in the low 30's or maybe even in the 20's.

The tire pressure sensors are installed. Just put them on the new valve stems, but if I get a flat, they will probably be crushed. Just gonna cross my fingers on this one.

Thanks again,
William

Default Wheel Guru's

Looking for comments in this set-up, to see if it will work on a 350Z lowered with coilovers from HKS.

5-Zigen Hyper 5ZR

option 1:
F 19 x 8.0 , +23mm
R 19 x 9.5 , +13mm

option 2:
F 19 x 8.0 , +23mm
R 19 x 10 , +18mm

Do I need to roll the fenders or it will fit without modifications.
Can you picture to me how the look it will be in terms of lips, etc.
Any input is greatly appreciate.

Javi

you won't need to roll fenders with those set ups

I have the same rear measurements as you and I wouldn't have ANY problems, my fronts are even more close to the fender and I wouldn't have to roll them

Great looking wheels and chrome is a perfect choice for Black!
I got to wonder though.........

255's on a 9.5 in wheel? The minimum should have been a 265 with a 275 being IDEAL!

I agree, 275's would be ideal, but the 40 series S-03's largest size was 255. Next time around, I'll probably switch brands to get some 275's.

Wheels look great!

While the guys with the brushed forged wheels look a little better, yours is definitley the best example in chrome/silver I have seen. Better than some silly Volk's anyday!

Viny1200:

Any idea if these wheels are available in several different offsets? Do you know if they'll fit over the Brembos?

After seeing so many of the same Volks wheels being purchased, the dubious reputation of the iforged guy, and the stratosphere pricing of the HRE's, these are looking pretty good to me right now!

Just remember, often times, you pay for what you get and when you cut corners, you really pay for it.....there are reasons HRE cost more. My suggestions is if you can't pay that, consider going with a volk, they are good quality, light wt., and nothing you will regret. I saw the hyper 5's looked great on the G35C I saw them on in person so they are a good looking wheels. Quality etc. I am not sure of...
