Default toyo t1 or nitto 555

hi all. i'm installing new tires on 19" wheels and i'm just wondering which one you would pick between the 2 tires. a set of toyo t1s will be about $150 more but will gladly pay if it's that much better than the nittos. i've never tested these tires myself so your experience and input will be appreciated.

I am in a similar situation. I have had the Nitto 555's on my 19" wheels for the last year. I LOVE them. They have great traction, not to noisy and give a good ride. I just bought new wheels and my shop is suggesting the Toyo
T1's. I am going to give them a try. I have been told good things about them. I was told they have a soft sidewall with excellent grip and are relatively quiet. If you have not made a purchase in the next two weeks pm me and I can give my own personal assesment.

No personal experience but from lurking around on this forum I can tell you the toyo's are very well liked. Hear much more positive feedback about them than the nitto's.

i decided to go with the nittos and so far so good. it grips well and very little road noise. i haven't driven on a wet surface yet but i'm not too worried... it can't be worse than my stock tires.

the nt555's are great without rain

toyos!! Please get toyos, these tires are excellent! Little to NO road noise, excellent traction(wet traction is amazing too), superb handling characteristics, and not to mention but...stylish. When I got my car it came with the ****stones I was sliding in every turn with the slightest of acceleration, and when I punched it...zero traction, wheel hop, and horrible in the rain. Now with the toyos I can take turn hard and the car just glues to the road. When I nail the accelerator, traction increase at least 50%

I don't think Nitto make the proper rear tires for the Z in 19", but i know Toyo does...

+1 I've had Nitto's on other cars and the tires weren't all that "neato" (I crack myself up... )

I'd stick with Toyo's, thread life and patterns are great... overall a great tire.

i read enough positive reviews about the nitto 555s to be confident in choosing them. also i got pulled over for speeding the day before purchasing the tires so i wanted to save the extra $150. i'll probably give the toyos a try when it's time to replace the nittos. thanks all for your input!

I've had nittos, for the price they hook up well but you sacrifice wet driving...i have toyos after running 2 sets of kdw's nt...they ride so much better and hook up just as well
