I feel your pain!! When I started modding I took hours researching, asking opinions and searching this board. Wheels were the one thing I really messed up. I was not aware of how offsets can affect wheel choices. You are right though, you do live and learn. For me it was a costly mistake, one I do not plan to repeat. I recently decided to go with Volk GT-F's 19x19.5 & 19x10.5 with 17 offsets up front and 24 out back.

it still depends on the offset of your wheels. i'd say put them on craigslist and take the lost and buy some new wheels with a more aggressive size and offset.

Hmm...I'd say 25mm spacers. And definitely put a meatier tire in the rear. It looks like a 30 series to me.

Ernie, I think your wheels are looking great, but a spacer will help in the back.
The offset question is a good one....wheels have a + or - for offset. Essentially (hope this comes out right) the offset is how far in or out the wheel is made from the center (centerline)...this is what dictates how much of a lip a wheel does or does not have. If you look at your paperwork you should see something that lists a number (for example +15, or +20) that is usually after the rim size.
Like mine are... 19x8.5 +15 offset in the front, and 19x9.5 +20 Offset in the rear. If you have two different offsets (not too likely) for the fronts and backs....then you might need to trade fronts for backs. Hopefully this helps and you can find your offsets to post here.

: )

The only weird looking thing about the rims being on your Z is the tire size and the enormous wheel gap. What tire size are you running? The side wall on the rear looks way too thin.

Just put a larger tire on the rear. What are you running now?

42 is going to be your offset. Which according to the chart is the highest offset you can get in that size. Which is bad for you? The lowest offset they sell is +30mm. Which would of been the best case for you. And by looking at the pics, your wheels are sunken in bad. I would say a 25mm spacer would be your best bet.

Agreed. A 25 mm spacer would bring your offset to +17 which is pretty aggressive.

+eleventy billion on the tire size. The rear looks really undersized which is not helping your cause. If you are running +42 all around, I would put the 20mm spacer on the front and get a 25mm for rear. Next time get a 275/35 tire on the rear.

Sorry for the OT post but please get rid of that spoiler. Besides that, and your wheels, you have a beautiful black car.

hmm....so i guess if i put 25mm spacer, bigger rear tires and drop it. my problem should be solver?

19x9 +17 is not aggressive at all in terms of offsets.

what tires are you running in the rear? a set of 275/35/19 tires in the rear would help the look of the car (and to have proper rolling diameters).

that 25mm spacer would look nice IN THE FRONT!!! as for the rear, you'd need like a 50mm spacer to make the rear look DECENT. i wouldn't recommend putting such a wide spacer on your car though. it just doesn't sound safe to me.
