Default Wheel locks, more trouble than they are worth??

I cracked the oem wheel lock the other day, damn tire shop!! They were really tight and I couldn't even get them off with my impact wrench, It popped and cracked my socket too while using a breaker bar! Needless to say I was pretty pissed! Thought about hammering a socket over it but then thought, the hell with it I'm going back to the shop and have them take it off.

The problem was that the lock could no longer hold enough to loosen, it would just slip out. The shop had a hard time too even with their special sockets. I took all my locks off for now.

But really, if my car is stolen I don't expect my wheels to be there, how many of you actually take the key with you? I don't, wheel locks are more of pain. I would have really hated to get a flat in the middle of nowhere and not be able to take my wheels off. Especially with the little crappy OEM wrench.

I have locks on all my rims. Not hard to throw the lug key in the glove box. Stock rims, are they worth it? Probably not, but you spend 3k on a set of rim's and tires, and tell me if you think that lug on there is worth the peace of mind.

That picture looks like it's worth four new Volks. Then again, I am a glass half full kind of guy.
