Default my new wheels - M Sport 19x8.5 & 19x9.5

I know many of you don't like mesh style wheels or ADR wheels..... I'm prepared to take the hits... but htought I'd post some pics of my new wheels/tires.

19x8.5 and 19x9.5 ADR "M Sport" in Hyperblack finish. Falken 245/35 and 285/35. That's right... 285 in the rear.

2.1" of polished lip in front and about 3.3" of lip in rear

offsets are 35mm front and rear... no fitment problems at all AND I have the Eibach drop.

The car is definately slower off then line than my prevoious wheels due to the added weight and taller rolling diameter... not sure on exact times but my butt dyno feels a slight drop in accel. performance.... the price to pay for big cast 19's I guess.....

some pics

I'm not a big fan of mesh wheels, but I've been eyeballing those M sports. Looking good, I might have to copy you

BTW, you didn't happen to weigh the wheels or the wheel/tire combination before installing them did you?

thanks guys...... wheel weight is about 22lb in rear and 21lb in front.

Did not weigh them with tires though.....

They are definately not the lightest wheels around, but for $265 a wheel the price is right....

next year I'm going forged wheels... this will hold me over.

well... I think I'm sure..... the wheels have weight numbers cast into them... the rears read 9.9kg and the fronts 9.4kg

maybe those are not actual wheel weight numbers??

ya, it could mean something else, the stock wheels weigh more than that (non-rays)

Hey, no one is going to rag on you for those wheels because they're H O T

Re the performance loss, as long as the diameter of the tires are the same as the original, I would think no loss in accel would occur. How tall are the tires now compared to the stockers?

looks very good. i might have to invest in a set of those for my db, too. i would love to have some bbs or some sf-winnings. but for me, right now, that's not really in the budget.

how much did the tires run you? and how do they falkens compare with the proxes and s03s (in terms of performance)?

agreed with point #1, they don't look CHEAP at all!!

actuall 275/35 are slightly taller than stock, so 285 is even taller (and heavier) if the wheels and tires are heavier, it increased rotational wt, which decreases performance (slightly)

If those wheels really are 21/22 lbs, I'm all over them as soon as I can budget the money. Those things really do look good on Daytona Blue...

thanks for the love guys.......... I was wonderin' what the group would think of BBS "style" wheels on a Z.

the M Sport wheels by ADR look so much better in person than the pics I've seen on some othjer sites...

That's why I tried to take good shots to show the detail of the wheel.

I'm wondering what the weight really is..... I'll weigh them before the week is up and post.

As for diameter... the rears are .6" taller than stock.... but keep in mind I have been running on small *** 235/35/19's for the last 7 months... with the smaller ones I've had until now, I had ALOT of low end grunt due to the smaller diameter.

I haven't run a 0-60 or 1/4 to see what the new ones have done to accel. Will do that soon.

The Hyperblack finish is wierd... it's a bit dark when not in direct light, but really shines bright when the sun hits it.

Knockoff of the BBS RG line, but for the price you paid and considering how it looks, its okay

Actually, a 275/35/19 has a diameter of 26.6", 1/10th of an inch SMALLER than a stock 245/45/18 at 26.7" A 285/35/19 tops the stock diameter at 26.9", only 3/10ths of an inch larger, but larger none the less.

got them on ebay from a guy with the username

DOHCCivicNA1250

He has alot of ADR wheels at crazy low prices. Normally the Hyperblack M Sports in my size would run about $320-370 per wheel. I got all four for $1080 shipped.

Tires where another $1020 mounted and balanced.

I can't comment on Falken vs. S-03. I have no experience with S-03's..... BUT I've driven fairly aggresively on these new tires and notice very good handling qualities... once they break in I'll really be able to get in on them and see what they do.

I've been planning on getting these wheel, look great, MESH WHEELS BELONG ON THIS CAR ! However, I may not now if everyone and their grandma is gonna have them!

I don't like to spend to much $$$ on wheels (with the exception of 22's on my truck), I prefer to use the money on performance when dealing with a sports car.
