Default cleaning PIAA rims

hey guys. So i went throught the normal car wash I always go to a couple days ago and came out of itand there was like a white film on my PIAA Super Rozza rims. It was about 97 degrees out. It kind of looks like soap scum or something ive never seen. for the life of me, i can not get it off the rims. I've tried mothers alumiunum and mag polish and i've tried blue magic. Guys, what should i clean this stuff off with? Its like a need a miracle cleaner. Thanks Ryan

probably lime deposits. Get a some sort of water lime deposit remover. Probably the same thing as you would use on your shower, but make sure to delute it with water before applying to the rim, because it is pretty toxic stuff.

hmmmm....I have these wheels as well. Sorry to hear about your predicament. During the winter I go through one of those automatic car wash deals, but since I installed my PIAA's march '07 I have washed by hand every time using whatever soap I used on the car. I try not to wash when it's really hot out because the minerals just bake in....then it's microfiber city and me being really nervous.

Post pics when you get a chance, and let us know what ends up working to clean them up.

I always stick to handwashing with just soap. I've never used wheel cleaner on any wheels I've ever owned...

Has anyone successfully removed the "soap scum" like film from the lip of aftermarket rims? I read someone say it was like a calcium deposit. I am about to try CLR on a small spot because absoluely nothing else has worked for me.
