Default Drag Radial ?

Here's my question,

There is a body of mine in the Car club I'm in that has a pair of drag radials, size 225/50R16, that are on 300ZX rims. He has offered me them to use when I go down to Racelegal down at Qualcomm. I'm Stock right now with my '03 Z Base.

Will I gain and/or loose any performance going down an 1/8th mile and the wheels and tires fit my 350Z. I have several of my friends but I want to find out what you guys say on here.

Thanks for the help. Love the forum.

I’m not sure. Drag radials are not assurance of better 60-foot times. Some members do better with street tires then other members with drag radials.

Are you an experienced racer?
Are you getting the best out of street tires?
Are you ready to move to drag radials?

So what RPM's should I be at when I launch with Street Tire versus Drag Radials. When my friends aka crew cheifs, LOL, have been at the track they suggested around 1500 RPM's . What tire pressure for stock tires? and no I'm not an experienced racer.

Experiment with tire pressure. 30 pounds. 25 pounds. Experiment with RPM. 4,000 RPM. 3,000 RPM. Keep a log of your runs. Nothing beats practice.

street tires are the same size?
You should be quicker.
Don't break a u-joint. Nevermind 240HP wont do that.
