I have a possible steal going here for myself and was wondering if you guys could shed some light on this subject for me.
Long story short theres this dude that wants to trade me my stock 03 wheels for his TE37s off of an Altima + some cash. What would be considered a steal on this deal?
Problem is they are silver. I really like the way they look gloss black with the polished lip. Is this possible to do to silver wheels? Also I am worried about the wheels fitting on my car if they fit on the Altima will they fit on my Z? Is there anything that I have not considered? Sorry for the noob post I searched and answered some questions but times a wastin! Thanks dudes!

ask the damn altima guy about the size
Q: What wheel sizes and offsets do I need?
A: Generally speaking, there are a LOT of different combinations that people are running on their Z or G.
Let's get the basics out of the way first: You need a lug pattern of 5x114.3, width between 8 and 11 inches, and diameter of 17", 18", 19", or 20".
Here are some of the more popular wheel and tire sizes (for good reason) that people put on their Z's. There is no "RIGHT" answer but there is a limit to how big or small you can go.
18" combination:
Front 18" x 8.5" , Offset +15 to +25, Tires 245/40/18
Rear 18" x 9.5" , Offset +15 to +25, Tires 275/40/18
(lower offset such as +10 in rear is possible but may require rolling)
Front 18" x 9.5" , Offset +25 to +30, Tires 255/40/18
Rear 18" x 10.5" , Offset +28 to +35, Tires 285/40/18 or 295/35/18
(lower offset such as +23 in the rear is possible but may require rolling)
19" combination:
Front 19" x 8.5" , Offset +15 to +25, Tires 245/35/19
Rear 19" x 9.5" , Offset +15 to +25, Tires 275/35/19
(lower offset such as +10 in rear is possible but may require rolling)
Front 19" x 9.5" , Offset +25 to +30, Tires 255/35/19 or 265/35/19
Rear 19" x 10.5" , Offset +23 to +32, Tires 285/35/19 or 295/35/19
(lower offset such as +23 or wider tires in the rear is possible but may require rolling)

The car is actually a 2000 Maxima. Those are rear wheel drive arent they? I have him checking to see if the offsets are stamped in the wheels. Anyone know if Volk stamps the offsets in the wheels and if they do where is it?
black with polished lips? lol his TE's are the opposite of what you are looking. probably cost you $300 a wheel to get them the way you want them, even then you still end up with 18" TE's with no concaveness, and bad offsets. if you do trade for them, you should sell them on ebay and get yourself some gloss black LE's

are you even sure they are volks?
About the rear wheel drive thing I spoke to this dude today and he swore that it was rear wheel drive lol! I figured he would know! I feel like a retard for considering anything he says!
Just because everyone does +22, does NOT mean they were "made for the Z." Personally, I would never do a +22 offset on 10.5" width wheel. I want to run as much rubber as possible, with that said... mid to HIGH 20's is the offset MEANT for the Z... at least if you're FI. stretched 275 is teh weaksauce.
