Default Help with the tire size please

Hi all:
I have 19" 9.5 +22 and 19" 10.5 +22 rims, with nismo suspension lowered the car less than an inch.
Which tire set up is better?
245/35/19 and 275/35/19
or
255/35/19 and 285/35/19

Any rubbing issue or make the steering wheel harder to turn?
Thanks a lot

i wouldnt think there would be a big rubbing issue. I just changed my fronts to 245's with the rears still being 245's and i have to say its a hole new car. From now on ill run the same size on all 4 corners.

Go with the 255/35/19 and 285/35/19. It's defiantly the better of the two. There shouldn't be any rubbing issues with that setup.

I thought you can't have the same size on all 4 because it will screw up the traction control?

i think it depends on the size that your running man i know i read alot abotu my sizes before i bought. Only one person had a problem with mine and it was only once. There are several running a nonstaggered setup. out of your choices though def. the 285's though if i were you.

With 255 front, when steering wheel is turned end to end, both end won't rub the wheel wall?

Will 255 and 285 rub the suspension? Do I need to roll the front/rear fender?

i have volk GT-C 19

F+33 255/35
B+23 295/30

no problem in the fronts, but the backs really rub rolled the fenders, as i were advised by friends to go for 285/35 and it might not rub and i know it will but with your offsets + lowering the car = i feel you need a roll +you will be happy when cornering at high speeds or if encountered by sudden aggressive ups and downs on the road,,,

You wont have any steering problems. But so far as the rear with 285 and the offset you have, it will be close under hard corning. Your drop is not that much though. You might have to roll your finders. Which is not a big deal. I'd do it anyways. Less worries.

If you want to see what it looks like? Go look at your front fenders now. That's what the finish product should look like. It will be folded in, in a smooth contrast. Ask around at some body shops until you find one that's had some experience doing this.

Guys, I was told that 255/35/19 and 285/35/19 is too tall and will screw up the meters.
Should I go 255/30/19 and 285/30/19 or
255/35/19 and 285/30/19 ??

i was thinking 255/35/19 and 295/35/19 but am hearing mixed reviews on the heights, rubbing, etc. I have 19x9.5 +17 front and 19x10.5 +24 rear. I have the car lowered about .75"

Mine is lowered about the same, wheel off set is +22.
I heard 35/19 are too tall and will screw up the speedometer, navi....etc

so I went to www.powerdog.com/tiresize.cgi and did some calculations

in choosing fronts, I compared stock 225/45r18 to 255/35r19
Spec..........Sidewall...Radius...Diameter...Circum...Revolu tions...Speedo...Odo.......Difference
225/45r18.....4.0"........13.0".....26.0".......81.6"......777/mi.......60MPH...10000mi.....N/A
255/35r19.....3.5"........13.0".....26.0".......81.8"......775/mi.......60MPH....9979mi......0.2%

pretty much a perfect match there.

in choosing rears, I compared stock 245/45r18 to 295/35r19 and 295/30r19
Spec..........Sidewall...Radius...Diameter...Circum...Revolu tions...Speedo...Odo.......Difference
245/45r18.....4.3".......13.3"......26.7".......83.8"......756/mi.......60MPH...10000mi.....N/A
295/35r19.....4.1".......13.6"......27.1".......85.2"......743/mi.......59MPH....9835mi......1.7%
295/30r19.....3.5".......13.0"......26.0".......81.6"......777/mi.......62MPH....10274mi...-2.7%

So I personally dont like the thought of having the rears the same overall height as the front (26 inches with the 295/30). Am I wrong in thinking that? To me, it seems 295/35 is the better fit for the rear

(sorry for all the . in the chart, thats the only way I was able to line them up)

I run 255/35/19 and 285/35/19 set-up w/ BFG KDW NT2 (I think these tires "run wider" than most tires in same size) and had rubbing issues before fenders were rolled in the rear. As for the fronts, there should be no problem. I run Hotchkis springs w/ a little less than a 1" drop. Here are some pics...

I'm not a fan of the stretched look for tires unless you are running negative offsets and negative camber and your car is slammed. So I'd say go w/ the 255/285 combo. Hope that helps.

Oh yeah, I haven't had issues w/ VDC slipping w/ this set-up. Also even w/ hard cornering, I have no rubbing issues.
