Default which tire size with 18' ??

guys i actually have 18 inch rims, 9.5 front and 10.5 rear .
tires are 245/40 F 275/40 R

suppose i want to install 295 @ the rear, what are the correct tire sizes that would keep me as close as possible to factory specs

Any recommendations for tires? Currently I am running Continental and they are litterally ripped off after a short track session.

P.S: I'm running Tannabe springs GF210.

I think 295s in the rear would throw off the balance of the car and give you more understeer. I suggest you stay with the same size and go to a better tire with more grip.

This is a somewhat confusing statement.

Do you mean stay with the same sizes front and rear, but select a tire with more grip? Because if you mean just the rear tire with more grip, that would do the same thing you describe and just increase the understeer.

I think he meant to just get some sticky tires in the sizes you already have. F that . 295/35 rear and 275/35 front and you'll be fine.

that is a great article, thanks for the link.

Having the same section width on the tires make sense to move some of the grip forward. I used to read a British tuning magazine, and one of their recommendations for reducing understeer on frontwheel drive cars was to run one tread width wider on the front than the back.
