Default Thoughts on my rims

Just want to know what yall think, Ive had the car for a year now and this is my latest mod along with some other tid bits here and there, They are 06 track wheels powdercoated in Steel Gunmetal. My car originally came with the 17 7spokes so it felt like i lifted the car the first time I drove it lol.

Maybe it's just on that color silver or somethign. Are you sure it's powdercoated or did you just paint it? Most people say they get stuff powdercoated but it's just DIY paint. Why would just powdercoat forged wheels?

+2 I know I am a new member, but I've been looking at rims for over a week non-stop. Really dont like that choice of rim, maybe just the color but they also look too much like stock BMW rims.

I agree. Maybe if the lip was left polished it would be a better contrast. It would look better with a drop and some 15mm spacers. I like the effort, but with the $$ you put into those you could have had some nicer aftermarket wheels, IMO.

I did like them when they were stock. The color looks too close to primer gray.

well, i got them cheap because they were warranty take offs rims at a local dealer, the stock finish was messed up because they used some weird cleaner and it caused the finish to stain. Yes the are powder coated, glory co powder coating company did them here in orlando for 416 dollars. Ive been divided on them since I got them powdercoated and have been debating whether or not to leave them as they are or go to a darker gray/silver.

I do agree with one of the comments above about the silver on silver, alot of people have told me they like them and I have had peeps come up and say they like the rims but I should of gone with a different color. Thank you for your honesty

They're ok, but I agree with it looking dirty. Maybe a few clear coats will help.

i still dont know people spend time and money modifying stock wheels. i think its a waste to do so. just keep the money in your pockets, rock the stock because they look clean as is and when you have the money buy some nice aftermarket. dont half *** imho, because you in the end, most people arent happy with the outcome.

Throwing money at a stock part is retarded.

nexx you have one way to look at it but on the other hand peeps like me who have to modify a car on a budget sometimes choose a different route. Albeit I do think IM going to save up and later this year or early next take them off of the car and re powdercoat them a much darker color so that there is a better contrast between my car and the rims themselves.

They certainly are an improvement over the stock 17's, so it's not all bad.
