I was just wondering if anyone has seen how accurate the Tire Pressure Sensor is. I have measured my tires at 35 PSI with a handheld meter and the TPS is saying its 37 PSI. All when the tires are cold. Which one can I believe??

 

±1psi is what they are rated.

It depends on what quality your handheld meter is. I have a high end dial gauge and when I set mine to 35, they show as 35 in the TPMS display.

 

They're more accurate than cheap tire pressure meters

 

My TPS seems to give same reading as good hand gauge. But with only 2 PSI different, it ain't a big deal.

 

I find the readings accurate to within one or two psi when compared to both a digital and mechanical gauge. I try to check tire pressure every few weeks and rely more on the digital gauge since I've read they tend to be the most accurate.
