So, a couple of things to consider:
1) I assume these are new tires. If that is true, they have a lot of grease that needs to come off and that happens after just a little bit of driving. After mounting my new Goodyear Eagles, I noticed VDC kick on while doing the first drive on the expressway. The new and greasy tires were slipping around significantly, and VDC sensed a problem.
2) Check your tire pressures. They should be around 34-36 psi. It sounds as though your tire dealer is competent (he put you into the right sized tires), but my dealer over-inflated my Goodyears (41 psi), and the high PSI plus the new greasy tires compounded the problem.
I'm not sure of the best way to rid new tires of that grease. I tried pulling hard left and right, but they were so slippery I actually felt I might lose control. I decided to just drive them conservatively for a while.
