Default Tire Size Question- Nismo Wheels

I have the 18" Nismos coming in, but...

I know the recommended size is 245/40, 275/40, but the rears don't come in that in the REO1R, which I want to buy (only 265/35).

Am I screwing too much with the neutrality of the car (and the ride) going with 265/35's in the rear, or should I give up a little grip and go with the RE050A Pole Positions which come in the 245/40, 275/40?

Thanks!

I love those tires, and they are relatively cheap compared to the Yokohamas (which I also like). I also need something that is great in the rain (Alabama).

What do you think about 265/35's? Am I looking at oversteer? I can't imagine I would be, as stock is only 2 sizes apart...

265/35's are way to short , they are shorter then the 245/40 front tire. What width wheels did you get ????

as far as over steer goes, i would not think so. but you have to consider the look of overall. on a Z 18" wheels with a 40 series tire are fine if you are running stock height, of course dropped would look much better. but if you run a 35 series tire on stock height there is a huge gap between the wheels and the car, personally it looks like a$$, even dropped on springs the gap is still considerably big. it all depends on personal taste though.

sorry if that didn't make much sense.

The front tires are 10.50 mm taller than the rear. Are you sure that you want this set up?

245/40 /275/40 it is.

Again, thank you all!

PS This board is about 1000 times more helpful than the s2000 one. Maybe your cars are so fast you get home quicker to spend more time on the boards...
