another tire question
upon inspection before my trip to cali for some tuning on the TT i noticed i need some new tires, YAY!!! anyhow which would be the grippiest/cheapest tire people know of?? i'm running a 275/40/18 thanks for any help. i have searched but i have chunks missing and need to go to a tire store as soon as they open. again i have been looking for the past 2-3 hours or so.
Cheapest with the best 'reputation' on these boards I've found to be the Falken FK452. Some people don't like them, but for the most part they are viewed as a quality tire and some even say they are fantastic. And they even come in 275/40/18. Look on discounttire.com and you can find them for pretty cheap with free shipping.
I had placed an order for Nitto Invo's for my new wheels, but ended up having to change my order to the Falken FK452's due to some ordering confusion. I'm actually saving several hundred dollars and I think I'll be pretty happy based on everything I've read about the Falkens,

For tire recommendations see: https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-tires/271133-what-brand-tires-should-i-get.html.
yeah i have the bf goodrich Radial TAs right now but they really dont give me all that much traction, it's also the roads here are horrible. i can hit the gas in 3rd at 65 and just go sidways on the highway and 90% of the surface streets and thats with the Radials

Performance tires are made to work as a system, and not all of them reach their goals the same way. Slip angles are different and etc. My recommendation is put the same make and model of tire you have on the front, on the back. BTW, if your changing all four, I luv my Dunlop SP Sport Maxx.Lou
i went with the FK452 got them for 150 each. i am just replacing the rears. the fronts have azinis sports. i like to drift more than anything so some nice grippy tires up ftont work best.
