Angry Buying Track Rims

I called one of my local Nissan dealer looking for Track rims (I like em + I thought they would be less than TE37's) and he quoted me some insane amount, check it out his reply:

"The Track Z wheels retail for $1430.12 each. If you really like the look of this kind of wheel, there are some aftermarket custom wheels that we can look into for a lot less. Check out the project Z at Stillen Motorsports. They have a set of 19" wheels that have a similar look to the track wheels. If you have anymore questions, please let me know. Thanks"

I've read throught and thought that track rims go 1500-2000 retail.

Does any one know where I can buy new track rims for less than $6k a set, talk about mark-up!

If you watch the Classifieds forum and eBay you should have no problem picking up a slightly used set with tires for around 2k.

Otherwise there are better aftermarket wheels with similar style for MUCH less than $1430 a piece!

oem equipment is always outragously marked up.

te37s are going to be the closest to track rims that youll find.

but if you want track rims, go used, 2grand is about right.

oem is mainly for insurance, when someone else is paying. no one in their right mind would buy a new set from nissan on their own dime.

Sorry, I have to put a roof on my house 1st. I was just kind of planning for what I would have to spend.

Anyways, for 2k I would just spend a couple hundred xtra and get 19s.

19" with tires is more like 1000+ more. I'd be interested, but they came on my car

Yeah you guys are right, but what I really meant was that either I would snap up some track rims for pretty cheap (relatively) or I'll go ***** out and get the full taco. To me, $2k is not really worth it for track rims. That's not taking anything away from them, they're cool... you know what I'm saying, I don't really dig on the stock tires too much.
