Nismo S-tune and wheel/tire recommendations
Well, I decided to get the S-tune suspension. However, I am a little concerned about the wheel/tire size recommended by NISMO.
I have the track model and like my rims. Will I be sacrificing performance by keeping the stock rims and changing the tire configuration as done by Raceboy and Droid?
I tend to believe in staying within the manufacturers recs as close as possible as I think that there's a good reason for them.
Any suggestions? I like my wheels alot and really don't want to sell them.
Thanks!

It would look kind of like this with the SO3's, except with Brembos.
Long story short, I'm buying a new house right now so either Stoptechs or AP's are on hold for a short while...

Good question.... I plan on getting the s-tune setup as well but I'm not sure if TE37 18 w/+22 offsets all around w/245&275 wheel/tire combo will work with that suspension without rubbing? Does anyone know if it's safe without rolling the fenders?
The Nismo S-tune wheel/tire combo is 8.5" front 9.5" rear with 245/40 f, and 275/40 r tires. The Japanese spec carries Yokohama Advan tires, but I am positive that won't be the case here in the US.
Nismo upgrades are manufacturer recommendations as well, so you should not worry about it.
Will stock wheels with upgraded tires work? Of course. Depending on your purposes, they will not hold you back at all. Actually, if you are planning on participating in SCCA Solo2 competitions, then don't change your wheels but get largest tires that will fit original specs

FlyingToaster: I was just curiuos where you got your information. I'm running the tires you described, and my S-Tune's on order... I hadn't thought about possible problems, but your statement makes me feel better. Did you find those specs online somewhere?
